Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited announced today that Takeda Global Research & Development Center, Inc., resubmitted two New Drug Applications to the United States Food and Drug Administration for alogliptin and the fixed-dose combination therapy alogliptin/pioglitazone, which combines alogliptin with pioglitazone in a single tablet.

Taller women more prone to cancer: Study

New research has shown that taller women could be more prone to suffering from cancer. The British study published online in the medical journal The Lancet on Thursday said cancer risk rose about 16% for every 4-inch rise in height. Increasing height heightened the chances of cancers of breast, ovary, womb, bowel, leukemia and malignant melanoma (skin cancer) the study found.
