America's Health Insurance Plans to release health care reform proposal

America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) will release a new comprehensive health care reform proposal that offers solutions to contain rising health care costs, enhance portability, provide affordable coverage options for small businesses, protect against medical bankruptcy, and more.

A detailed analysis of the causes of rising health care costs by PricewaterhouseCoopers will also be unveiled.

Over the summer, AHIP launched a nationwide listening tour to hear directly from the American people their priorities for health care reform. The AHIP Board of Directors has responded by offering solutions to address the health care concerns that were raised, including the most recent proposal to guarantee coverage for pre-existing conditions in conjunction with an enforceable individual mandate.
