Unibased Systems Architecture, Inc. (Unibased) today announced that Bay
Area Health District (dba Bay Area Hospital) of Coos Bay, Oregon has
purchased the ForSite2020® periOperative Resource Management
System (ORMS). Unibased was selected as a result of competition with
      several surgery management system vendors.

According to Bob Adams, Bay Area Hospital, Director of Information
Services, “The Unibased product exceeded our published requirements, but
most importantly, Unibased demonstrated a willingness to meet our unique
needs with contractual guarantees. All of their client references were
helpful and straightforward. Unibased personnel were knowledgeable and
experienced with our current in-house vendors, and up and down the line,
everyone just felt more comfortable with Unibased.”

Phil Amelung, a Principal Consultant with Unibased, indicated “The Bay
Area Hospital steering committee was sure to include a broad
representation from the c-suite, information services, clinical
informatics, and the surgery department. They went well beyond system
feature/function in examining other important vendor qualities including
the vendors’ ability to keep promises, history of successful integration
projects and experience of implementation staff. No stone was left
unturned. They are the first Amerinet hospital member we have signed
since the inception of our contracted supplier agreement last September,
and represent our first significant collaboration with Draeger. Bay Area
is very influential as the largest acute care facility on the southwest
Oregon coast with a high volume surgery operation. This is already a
great partnership and it will only get better. We are all anxious to
begin the implementation in early January, and Unibased is pleased to
      expand its west coast presence.”
