Results of EpiCept's Special Meeting of Stockholders announced

EpiCept Corporation (Nasdaq and OMX Nordic Exchange: EPCT) announced today the results of its Special Meeting of Stockholders held on January 7, 2010 in Tarrytown, NY.

Holders of an aggregate of 132,094,079 shares of the Company’s common stock were entitled to vote at the meeting. More than 80 million votes were received. The results of the voting were as follows:

Proposal One. Amend the Company’s certificate of incorporation to effect a reverse stock split of the Company’s common stock at any time prior to January 7, 2011, at a ratio between one-for-two and one-for-four, if and as determined by the Company’s Board of Directors.

The Stockholders approved Proposal One with almost 96% of voted shares voting in favor.

Proposal Two. Adjournment of the Special Meeting for a period of less than 30 days.

Stockholders approved Proposal Two although it was not necessary to adjourn the special meeting given that sufficient votes to pass Proposal One were received.
