BBB rates 6 Day Dental and Orthodontics A+

NewsGuard 100/100 Score

6 Day Dental and Orthodontics, a Coppell-based dental company founded by Dr. John Bond in 1989, today announced its A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) of Dallas, held since January 2003. BBB assigns grades from A to F with pluses and minuses, and 6 Day has achieved its highest mark. The grade represents BBB's degree of confidence that the business is operating in a trustworthy manner and will make a good faith effort to resolve any customer concerns.

"We are very proud of each of our employees at our five North Texas locations.  It is pride in their work and care for our patients that have earned 6 Day this rating," said Dr. John Bond, founder and chief executive officer of 6 Day. "It has always been our honor to serve all of our patients, and if doing a good job with our patients earns 6 Day an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau, then that's terrific."

When asked how his company has maintained an A+ rating, Dr. Bond says it's because caring for patients is 6 Day's top priority and what the company does best. And the company takes extra care with its youngest patients, finding ways to get them to enjoy their visits to the dentist. With this in mind, Dr. Bond created Molar Man, 6 Day's Ambassadors of Smiles, as well as other characters such as: Ginger Vitis®, Hallie Tosis®, Bacteria Boy® and Canine®.  For Dr. Bond and his staff, the message has been the same since opening 20 years ago: encourage good oral hygiene through brushing, flossing and regular visits to the dentist, beginning at an early age.

Ratings are determined by a proprietary formula that represents BBB's opinion as to the importance of each business category, and the appropriate score given to the business for each category. BBB assigns ratings by evaluating businesses in the following categories:

  • BBB experience with the industry in which the business operates
  • The business's length of time in operation
  • Whether BBB has information that the business does not have required competency license(s)
  • Any known government actions against the business that are related to marketplace activities
  • Any advertising issues found by BBB
  • The number of complaints processed by BBB from the business's customers
  • The number of complaints processed by BBB from the business's customers that are of a serious nature
  • Whether the business has responded to complaints received by BBB
  • Whether complaints have been resolved in a timely manner or the business has demonstrated it made a good faith effort to resolve them
  • Business's overall complaint history with BBB
  • Whether the business has honored any commitments to BBB to arbitrate or mediate disputes and comply with arbitrator decisions or mediated settlements
  • Whether BBB has sufficient background information and clear understanding of business
  • Whether the business is a BBB Accredited Business
  • Whether BBB Accreditation was revoked because the business failed to comply with agreed BBB standards
...and 6 Day has passed this checklist with flying colors.
