NewsGuard 100/100 Score

Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center has been identified by HealthGrades as a 2010 recipient of the Distinguished Hospital Award for Clinical Excellence. HealthGrades awards this title to facilities that rank in the top five percent in overall clinical performance.

"Our caregivers are dedicated to providing exemplary care," says Mary O'Brien, chief administrative officer for Aurora St. Luke's.  "We are happy to receive this recognition from HealthGrades and look forward to continuing to provide our patients with the best care possible."

HealthGrades specifically identified strengths for St. Luke's in patient safety excellence, cardiac care, coronary intervention, stroke, critical care and pulmonary.

To identify the recipients of this award, HealthGrades used 12 patient safety indicators from Medicare inpatient data, analyzed by patient safety indicator software from the Agency for Health Care Research and Quality.
