Nursing home provides non-medical care for individuals faced with health or mobility challenges

Alan Revell of Milford worked for one day as a supervisor in a nursing home before he quit. What he witnessed was the inspiration for the newly formed Caring Rose Home Care of Annandale.

"I just knew that there had to be a better way to treat our elderly loved ones," said Revell, President/CEO of Caring Rose Home Care. "What I saw in just one day was enough to change my life. There are many respectable nursing homes, but I knew right then that we needed to find a better way to care for our parents and grandparents when they can no longer take care of themselves."

Revell recently launched Caring Rose Home Care to provide short-term or long-term non-medical care for all individuals – young, middle-aged or elderly – faced with health or mobility challenges.

"First and foremost, our mission is to help seniors and anyone requiring care to live independently," Revell said. "Obviously, allowing an unknown individual into your home is a major decision and that is why Caring Rose only hires caregivers that have undergone rigorous evaluations and background checks. I will only employ home health aides and caregivers that I would trust caring for my own family."

Caring Rose offers a variety of services for as little as an hour up to 24-hours a day, including but not limited to:

  • Housekeeping;
  • Cooking and food preparation;
  • Transportation – escorting to and from appointments, shopping and errands;
  • Companionship – providing comfort, security and friendship;
  • Personal organization – medication reminders and home organization;
  • Correspondence;
  • Bill paying – organizing bills and helping arrange payments;
  • Nursing home visits – calling on friends in assisted living; and
  • Family mediation – working through family issues where professional counseling or medical help are not needed.

"I can get no greater reward in life than seeing an elderly person living happily in their own home because of the outstanding and compassionate service we can provide," said Revell. "Our goal is to become a trusted national brand that offers the highest quality, non-medical in-home care at an affordable price."
