Medical Alarm Concepts Holding, Inc. (OTCBB:MDHI), manufacturer of the MediPendant™, the only fully-monitored medical alarm system that allows you to speak and listen directly through the pendant, announced today that it has signed an unprecedented distribution agreement for the Company's MediPendant™ with one of the largest grocery store chains in the United States.
Under the terms of the agreement, the Company's MediPendant™ alarm device will be offered in various locations throughout the store, including, but not limited to, the pharmacy section. "We are extremely excited about the exposure and mainstream visibility our MediPendant™ program will receive at this highly recognized national grocery store chain," said Howard Teicher, CEO of Medical Alarm Concepts Holding. "We expect this partnership will greatly increase our sales both for this year and beyond."
This particular offering of the Company's MediPendant™ program to customers, will also include one free month of monitoring services, and an associated "lock box" device. According to CEO Howard Teicher, "The MediPendant™ lock box device is very similar to lock boxes used in the real estate industry, in that it hangs on the front door and contains a key to the residence. The key to the home is accessed via a proprietary numerical code. The difference, however, is that with the Medical Alarm Concepts' MediPendant™ lock box, the EMT-certified operator can provide the access code to the ambulance personnel prior to arriving at the home. A lock box enables the ambulance personnel to avoid having to break into the home or waste valuable time finding a source of entry. In other words, if the MediPendant™ device wearer is incapacitated or unresponsive, immediate access to the home can easily be managed without the need to rely on the home owner for entry."
