New agreement gives Health Net's members access to 14 of Prime Healthcare's hospitals

Prime Healthcare Services is pleased to announce that it has contracted with Health Net of California for 14 of its hospitals.

Effective as of September 1, 2013, Health Net members will be able to receive care at in-network benefit levels from Alvarado Hospital Medical Center in San Diego, Centinela Hospital Medical Center in Inglewood, Chino Valley Medical Center in Chino, Desert Valley Hospital in Victorville, Encino Hospital Medical Center in Encino, Garden Grove Medical Center in Garden Grove, Huntington Beach Hospital in Huntington Beach, La Palma Intercommunity Hospital in La Palma, Montclair Hospital Medical Center in Montclair, Paradise Valley Hospital in National City, San Dimas Community Hospital in San Dimas, Shasta Regional Medical Center in Redding, Sherman Oaks Hospital in Sherman Oaks and West Anaheim Medical Center in Anaheim.

This agreement gives Health Net's insured commercial, Medicare and Medi-Cal members access to 14 of Prime Healthcare's hospitals. Additionally, members enrolled in Health Net through the Covered California health insurance exchange will have in-network coverage at Prime Healthcare's Southern California Hospitals.

Prime Healthcare has been recognized as one of the Top 15 Health systems in the Nation three times, in 2009, 2012 and 2013, based on the high quality of patient care by Truven Health Analytics, formerly Thomson Reuters. Additionally, eight of the included hospitals were recognized as Top 100 Hospitals in the nation by Truven in 2013. Prime Healthcare hospitals have been recognized as top 100 hospitals in the nation 21 times.
