The entire point of the article was to debunk the rumor that natural immunity is more effective after you've already been infected. The article leads with the sentence "A new study from Israel suggests immunity gained after recovering from a bout of COVID-19 is more protective against the new Delta variant than vaccine-induced immunity." And the rest of the article addresses this rumor with an experiment to back it up.

Read your comment again.  Your rumor statement is redundant at best.  You quote the article correctly afterwords, making it clear that the article says natural immunity from prior infection is stronger than vaccine protection against the disease, but that is not what your initial statement says. The "rumor that natural immunity is more effective after you've already been infected."   And they did say that your natural immunity will be stronger after vaccination with first dose, but your immunity is already stronger with prior disease than those with no prior infection but vaccine-induced immunity.
