    I’m not surprised in that someone with HIV has developed Alzheimer’s Disease as this would be expected given that as PLWH grow older they will be at risk of these age related diseases. What disturbs me the most is how the author misrepresents the incidence of HAND. True that even with effective antiretroviral therapy 30-60% of PLWH will experience some degree of HAND, most will be mild, some will have slight deficits and about 5-7% of the 30-60% will develop a more significant impairment. This is misleading and I fear damaging.
