... in response to Are Tattoos Safe?
  1. Cosmetic Tattoo Cosmetic Tattoo Australia says:

The presence of tattoos  does not make MRI impossible, on the contrary a very small percentage of patients with tattoos have experienced sensations ranging from tingling to temporary skin reddening effects that on some occasions have been interpreted as burning however this has not resulted in any preventative recommendations for MRI in patients with tattoos. Tattoos can sometimes result in MRI artefact and misdiagnosis but once again this does not prevent the use of MRI regardless of the presence of tattoos.
