    The battle against weight is not waste of time.It is a necessity.But approach is not much . What I would like from society is the rehabilitation clinics.Safe place were a food addict could have a break. They can be cheap like camps were participants have to do the work and strict rule like no visitors and sex divided and bullies out. I would happily give all may pension money for such an stay facility. Having and break from that terrible compulsive overeating would be what I desperate need and can not get.

      This guy's argument is that people don't stick to diets or exercise patterns over time and once they stop, they regain the weight (duh!). Therefore losing the weight is pointless? Only if you're looking for reasons to feel comfortable with giving up. I'd say the moral of the story is to design your exercise / eating plan around things you actually like so that you can, and will, keep it up for the long run.
