... in response to Insight into Male PCOS
  1. Leonardo Momplet Leonardo Momplet United States says:

My sister was diagnosed with PCOS back in 2008, which began to explain a lot of metabolic issues I have. I have subclinical hypothyroidism, insulin resistance, hypogonadism. Based on DEXA scan results, my percent body fat is 42%, the lowest I’ve ever gotten is 29%. The only issue I don’t have is Early-onset androgenetic alopecia, as I have thick hair and I have body hair all over. We have a third sibling that does not have these metabolic issues. All three of us are homozygous for the MTHFR A1298C mutation, which I’ve seen some articles suggesting a correlation between the mutation and PCOS.
