Novartis partners with UC Berkeley to pursue 'undruggable' disease targets

Novartis has joined forces with researchers from the University of California, Berkeley, to develop new technologies for the discovery of next-generation therapeutics, pursuing the vast number of disease targets in cancer and other illnesses that have eluded traditional small-molecule compounds and are considered "undruggable."

ClaroNav is pleased to announce that it has received FDA 510(K) clearance from the Food and Drug Administration to market and sell NaviENT in the United States. NaviENT had previously been granted CE mark for the European market and Health Canada approval for the Canadian market in 2016.

Columbia University receives $9.6 million NIH grant for ME/CFS research center

The National Institutes of Health has awarded a five-year $9.6 million grant to the Center for Infection and Immunity at Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health to create the Center for Solutions for Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/ Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CfS for ME/CFS), an inter-disciplinary, inter-institutional research group dedicated to understanding the biology of the disease in order to develop effective means to diagnose, treat and prevent it.
