SCIEX and QPS Holdings enter collaboration to establish the BioBA solution for bioanalysis of biologics

SCIEX, a global leader in life science analytical technologies, and QPS Holdings, LLC (QPS), a leading global full-service Contract Research Organization (CRO), today announced a collaboration to advance Hybrid LBA –LCMS, a workflow for routine biologics quantification. Under the agreement, QPS Holdings will deploy the SCIEX BioBA Solution, the first end-to-end and most complete solution for bioanalysis of biologics.

Abnormal cells in the early embryo are not necessarily a sign that a baby will be born with a birth defect such as Down's syndrome, suggests new research carried out in mice at the University of Cambridge. In a study published today in the journal Nature Communications, scientists show that abnormal cells are eliminated and replaced by healthy cells, repairing - and in many cases completely fixing - the embryo.

Lack of ARHGAP33 molecule causes neuropsychiatric disorders-related abnormal higher brain functions

A research group led by Osaka University and the University of Tokyo found that the intracellular protein trafficking is important for higher brain functions such as learning and memory. The research group showed that a molecule, ARHGAP33 regulates synaptic functions and behaviors via intracellular protein trafficking and that the lack of ARHGAP33 causes neuropsychiatric disorder-related impaired higher brain functions.
