Designed specifically to track temperature and relative humidity, along with an extra dry contact input, the ViewPoint Essentials Sensor combines ease of use and simplicity with precision and adaptability.
It establishes an automatic, wireless connection to a ViewPoint 900 MHz Access Point, enabling secure transmission of temperature and relative humidity data to either the ViewPoint Pro On-Prem or the ViewPoint Cloud Continuous Monitoring System.
Additionally, the binary switch input port allows simultaneous monitoring of basic open/closed states, such as door status. The sensor's sampling and transmission rates are not fixed; they can be easily adjusted via the ViewPoint software application, Over-the-Air (OTA) communication, or a configuration cable connected to the mono jack outlet.

Data integrity and redundancy
The ViewPoint Essentials Sensor is equipped with a fault-tolerant file system designed for high-integrity data storage and buffering, which safeguards against data loss or corruption during network or power interruptions.
It has on-board memory that can accommodate up to 4000 time-stamped data points, allowing all measurement data to be logged locally and autonomously transmitted to ViewPoint software once communications are reestablished.
To maintain data integrity and security, wireless communications are encrypted. In addition to the local memory available on the Essentials Sensor, each ViewPoint 900 MHz Access Point can store up to 30,000 data points, providing multiple points of redundancy.
With a finely tuned antenna, the Essentials Sensor can cover an exceptionally wide range of space.

Multi-generational compatibility
The ViewPoint Essentials Sensor is designed to work seamlessly with the current CheckPoint® G4, ViewPoint VPx, and the most recent ViewPoint VPx Pro 6 systems, offering upgrade options and safeguarding the monitoring investment.
When operating in G4 Mode, the Essentials Sensor interacts with CheckPoint G4 Access Points and Repeaters. In its standard G5 mode, this sensor serves as an economical partner to the ViewPoint VPx Pro 6 and VPx Sensors, automatically establishing a connection through any generation of ViewPoint 900 MHz Access Points.
Cost-effective and efficient
The ViewPoint Essentials Sensor employs two cost-effective AA alkaline batteries. It facilitates continuous operation for up to two years at a five-minute transmission interval and sampling rate, and up to three years with 15-minute transmission and sampling rate when in battery saver mode.
The sensor is compatible with detachable temperature and temperature/relative humidity probes, which can be replaced in mere seconds with newly calibrated probes via the convenient snap connector, ensuring compliance with necessary calibration schedules.
