The Blood Alliance signs agreement to implement Interactive Softworks' software

SNM supports U.S. Senate's introduction of CARE Act

SNM supports the U.S. Senate in its introduction of the Consistency, Accuracy, Responsibility and Excellence in Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Act of 2010, S. 3737. The proposed legislation, which was introduced in August by Sen. Mike Enzi [R-WY], aims to ensure that minimum education and credentialing standards for nuclear medicine technologists are set at the state level.

RAND Corporation study reveals shortage of anesthesiologists, nurse anesthetists

A recent study from the RAND Corporation, one of the country's most trusted analytic organizations, finds a current shortage of 3,800 anesthesiologists and 1,282 nurse anesthetists. However, if current trends continue, a dramatic shortage of anesthesiologists and a significant surplus of nurse anesthetists are projected by 2020.

NYBC calls for blood donation in remembrance of 9/11 victims

New York Blood Center (NYBC), serving more than 20 million people in New York City, Long Island, the Hudson Valley, New Jersey, and parts of Connecticut and Pennsylvania, calls upon the communities it serves to please donate blood in honor and remembrance of the thousands of men, women, and children affected by the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. Each pint of blood donated can potentially save the lives of three people through the use of blood and blood products.
