The results of their study, "A Neutralizing Human Monoclonal Antibody Protects African Green Monkeys from Hendra Virus Challenge," will appear in Science Translational Medicine online.

Mylan Inc. today announced that it, along with Famy Care Ltd., has entered into a settlement agreement with Warner Chilcott resolving litigation related to Femcon Fe Chewable Tablets, known generically as Norethindrone and Ethinyl Estradiol Tablets USP (Chewable), 0.4 mg/0.035 mg and Ferrous Fumarate Tablets USP (Chewable), 75 mg (28-Day Regimen).

Study finds why corticosteroids do not work well for COPD patients

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) leads to persistent inflammation of the airways and is typically managed with corticosteroids, a class of anti-inflammatory medication. However, corticosteroids do not improve survival nor alter the progression of COPD and may reduce lung symptoms as little as 20 percent.
