Eisai Inc. today announced that LUSEDRA(TM) (fospropofol disodium) Injection is now available for use by persons trained in the administration of general anesthesia. LUSEDRA, an aqueous solution, is an intravenous sedative-hypnotic agent indicated for monitored anesthesia care (MAC) sedation in adult patients undergoing diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.

Men more likely to abandon partners diagnosed with cancer

A woman is six times more likely to be separated or divorced soon after a diagnosis of cancer or multiple sclerosis than if a man in the relationship is the patient, according to a study that examined the role gender played in so-called "partner abandonment." The study also found that the longer the marriage the more likely it would remain intact.
