Sensory Analytics, an emerging leader in non-contact and non-destructive coating measurement systems, today announced the issuance of the company's third patent, United States Patent 7,274,463.

This new patent covers the non-contact measurement of coatings using proprietary sensor technologies and extends the company ' s current intellectual property portfolio related to multiple sensory options, methods and applications. The company has a number of additional US and international patent applications pending and on file.

“ The granting of this additional patent reflects our continued focus on innovation and strengthens our intellectual property portfolio, ” said Greg Frisby, CEO of Sensory Analytics. “ We are pleased to extend the reach of our technologies further into manufacturing and product finishing segments and to bring additional value to our shareholders. ”

Based upon its expanding intellectual property portfolio, Sensory Analytics has launched a series of innovative measurement tools, including the SpecMetrix ® and SpecMetrix ® RA coating measurement systems. All Sensory Analytics systems give users precise, real-time coating measurement results without the need for destructive testing or sample coupons, and with no harm to the coating itself. Capable of measuring coating thicknesses from 200 nanometers to 200 microns, SpecMetrix ® systems are helping manufacturing customers to reduce costs within a number of production, finishing and quality assurance areas. The patented systems, integrated with proprietary SensorMetric ™ software, are used in quality control laboratories and on the production floor to automatically capture and store real-time coating and film measurement results as part of a manufacturer ' s quality assurance programs.
