Inc. magazine has ranked Biocare Medical No. 2984 on the 2009 Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in the nation. The company's sales growth was 93.1% from 2005-2008. "We are thrilled to have achieved this prestigious recognition," said Roy Paxton Yih, co-founder and CEO of Biocare Medical. "It is exciting to see that our key mission to advance patient care, by providing innovative and high-quality products and world-class customer service, is contributing to our company's rapid success and growth. This adds to several honors Biocare has received in recent years including 4 'Top of the class' awards since 2005 for high quality products and service from Advance for Administrators magazine and ranking as one of the top 50 fastest growing companies in the East Bay."

Since debuting in 1991, the Inc. magazine list of the most rapidly growing private companies has served as evidence of the significant accomplishments of entrepreneurial companies. As an Inc. 5000 honoree, Biocare Medical shares a prestigious pedigree with some of the most successful businesses in America.

"Savvy trend spotters and those who invest in private companies know that the Inc. 5000 is the best place to find out about young companies that are achieving success through a wide variety of unprecedented business models, as well as older private companies that are still expanding at an impressive rate," said Inc. 5000 project manager Jim Melloan. "That's why our list is so eagerly anticipated every year."

Since its launch in 1997, Biocare Medical has made a significant leap towards achieving its goal of becoming the most trusted source for cancer diagnostics with strong commitment to patient care and the highest quality IHC and molecular pathology products.

The Inc. 5000 is ranked according to each company's percentage of revenue growth from 2005 through 2008. To qualify, companies must be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent -- not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies.
