A.M. Best withdraws AHSIC's FSR of "B+" and ICR of "bbb-"

A.M. Best Co. has withdrawn the financial strength rating (FSR) of B+ (Good) and issuer credit rating (ICR) of “bbb-” of American Healthcare Specialty Insurance Company (AHSIC) (Little Rock, AR), and assigned a category NR-5 (Not Formally Followed) to the FSR and an “nr” to the ICR.

On February 5, 2010, AHSIC was purchased by Kinsale Capital Group, Inc. in an all cash transaction. AHSIC was previously owned by SCPIE Indemnity Company, which is a subsidiary of The Doctors Company, An Interinsurance Exchange.
