AssistMed, Inc. today announced it has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Definitive Homecare Solutions, Ltd. to develop and offer an interface between AssistMed's Patient Adherence Solutions and Definitive Homecare Solutions' CPR+ patient and business management software designed for specialty pharmacy customer applications. Terms were not disclosed.
"Our strategic alliance with Definitive Homecare Solutions will greatly enhance patient care and create significant opportunities for both our organizations," said Adee Feinstein, vice president of AssistMed's Patient Adherence Solutions.
He noted that healthcare professionals recognize the innovative features and effectiveness of Definitive Homecare Solutions' CPR+ patient and business management software for specialty pharmacies applications, and we look forward to providing the specialty pharmacy market with the enhanced benefits of offering our combined technologies," Feinstein added.
AssistMed's solutions help patients, providers, and caregivers collaborate via web and cell phone-based applications, improving patients' adherence to prescribed plans-of-care and promoting medication regimen persistency and self-care compliance, a vital aspect of specialty pharmacy patient care.

AssistMed's Patient Adherence Solutions include Clinication™, a web-based patient/provider adherence management system, and CellPly™, a device-independent mobile phone solution which follows the patient wherever they may be. These technologies are designed to support and reinforce pharmacy's focus on patient education, ongoing monitoring, and required interventions at a fraction of the cost of traditional outbound call centers. DHS' CPR+ software provides workflow queues specific to their specialty pharmacy customers as part of its pharmacy enterprise management system.
