The nonprofit Lean Enterprise Institute (LEI) will run 11 workshops in Seattle May 11-13, 2010, on how to implement lean management principals in healthcare, as well as in management accounting, strategic planning, and administrative processes.
The workshops, which will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Marriott Seattle Airport, are:

- Managing to Learn: The Use of the A3 Management Process (2 days)
- Improving Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety through Lean Methods (1 day)
- Supporting Healthcare Leader Standard Work with Visual Management Tools (1 day)
- Value-Stream Mapping for the Office and Service (1 day)
Wed., May 12
- Sustainable Lean Culture: Connecting the "Product" and the "People" Value Streams (2 days)
- Value-Stream Mapping for Healthcare (1 day)
- Getting the Right Things Done (2 days)
Thurs., May 13
- Management Accounting for Lean Businesses (1 day)
- Open Access: Improving Patient Access to Ambulatory Care with Lean Thinking (1 day)
- Optimizing Flow in Office and Service Processes (1 day)
One-day workshops are $800. Two-day workshops are $1,600. Price includes tuition, all training materials, breakfast, lunch, and snacks each day. Discounts are available for taking multiple classes or sending multiple persons.
