Optovue, a pioneer in fourier/spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (OCT), has founded "Eye-Give," a non-profit foundation for the purposes of donating technology and funding to sight saving charities and organizations around the world.

"Optovue has enjoyed tremendous success since introducing the first FD/SD-OCT system in the US, and I have always had the dream of making advanced OCT technology available to everyone in the world." stated Jay Wei, founder of Optovue.  "With the international launch of iVue recently, that dream has moved forward another step in making this imaging technology available to more levels of eye healthcare where advanced systems are not economically feasible.  We wish to extend that reach even further by providing this compact system to the organizations around the world dedicated to fighting eye disease in areas where access to newer technology is limited."
