Who will be speaking at the conference?
The LINNEAUS collaboration is a group of primary care professionals and researchers from the UK, Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, Austria and Poland who have significant experience in understanding and learning about patient safety. We have all got first hand experience on how to develop networks to improve patient safety in our own countries and we want to share that experience with you. We will also have speakers who have collaborated with us from the USA and New Zealand.

Who is this conference for?

All healthcare professionals (including family doctors (GPs), nurses, midwives, dentists, pharmacists and researchers). We are keen to work with anyone who is involved in the delivery of primary health care in Europe. If you want to find out more about patient safety and are committed to doing something about it, then this conference is for you.

What is the purpose of this conference?

This conference aims to provide help to people who work in primary care and who want to improve patient safety. There will be practical sessions which will show you how to establish reporting systems for adverse incidents in Primary Care and provide you with the necessary toolkits to do this. We will show you how to measure safety culture in primary care organisations, and how to involve patients in improving safety. We will also show you how you can learn from adverse events, helping you develop preventative strategies to improve safety

This conference is FREE!  LINNEAUS will cover the costs of:

  • Budget return travel from your location (average of 4 delegates/country)
  • Overnight accommodation (Monday and Tuesday nights) in a local hotel
  • Conference fees
  • Food (including conference dinner), and refreshments during the conference

Numbers are limited to 100 delegates, so please apply online early for a free place. Go to the LINNEAUS, website  www.linneaus-pc.eu  homepage then click on the conference link and complete the on-line request form. Initially, an e-mail will be sent to you confirming receipt of your form. You will be informed no later than the 19th July whether or not you have been allocated a free place.
