Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization today announced it has awarded 20 volunteers with the PRESIDENTIAL VOLUNTEER SERVICE AWARD (PVSA), a national honor offered in recognition of volunteer service.

Established in 2003, the PVSA annually honor individuals, groups and families who have met or exceeded requirements for volunteer service and have demonstrated exemplary citizenship through volunteering.
Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization has a long history of volunteer service, founded by asbestos victims and their families to serve as the united voice for those affected by asbestos worldwide. Highly committed individuals provide countless volunteer hours in a number of areas including research and resource development, victim support programs, fundraising, social networking and online outreach, legislative advocacy, conference planning, marketing communications, administrative services and more.

To date, the President's Council has partnered with more than 80 Leadership Organizations and more than 28,000 Certifying Organizations to bestow more than 1.5 million awards to the Nation's deserving volunteers. As one of thousands of Certifying Organizations participating in the AWARD program, Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization confers the award to recognize the outstanding achievements of its volunteers.
