Premier health alliance honors Standard Register with Supplier Performance Award for 5th consecutive year

For the fifth consecutive year, Standard Register (NYSE: SR) is being honored by the Premier health alliance with its Supplier Performance Award at the 2010 Premier Annual Breakthroughs Conference and Exhibition in Washington D.C. The award ceremony is being held at the Gaylord National Hotel and Convention Center today, June 9.

Premier contracts with more than 800 suppliers and Standard Register is one of 65 contracted suppliers to receive the Performance Award. Winners are recognized for their outstanding management of Premier agreements and drive toward the mutual goal of providing clinical and financial value to the not-for-profit hospital members of the Premier alliance.

"We're proud to be recognized for our performance," said Brad Cates, president of Standard Register's Healthcare Business Unit. "The Premier alliance sets a high bar for itself and its suppliers. It is gratifying to know we've exceeded their members' expectations."

Standard Register has been serving Premier alliance members since Premier's inception with an expansive portfolio of document management and workflow automation solutions and services. Over the last three years, it has saved member hospitals more than $35 million through programs focused on cost management, standardization and process improvement.

"The Performance Award honors Premier valued suppliers that strive for collaboration and performance excellence to benefit the alliance and we are honored to recognize these top performers," said Premier Purchasing Partners president Mike Alkire.

In selecting recipients, satisfaction and performance data are collected and scored over four successive calendar quarters. Feedback is provided in regular supplier business line reviews. Organizations scoring 80 percent or higher earn the Performance Award.
