ITelagen finds place on 2010 Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing US companies

ITelagen, Inc., a leading provider of healthcare IT and medical billing solutions, today announced that the company was named to the prestigious 2010 Inc. 5000 list, a compendium of the most entrepreneurial and fastest growing companies in America.

In order to qualify for the Inc. 5000, companies such as ITelagen must be in business for 5 years and demonstrate exemplary four-year growth. Founded in 2005, this was the first year ITelagen qualified for the Inc. 5000 and was placed on the list at position #1163, with an extraordinary four-year growth rate of 256.2%. As IT Services was one of 2009's top five highest grossing revenue segments on the list at $13.2 billion, ITelagen is well placed for future growth.

"Despite the economic downturn of the past 2 years, ITelagen continued to focus on new service offerings in healthcare, a decision that bolstered ITelagen strength during those tumultuous times", commented ITelagen CEO, John O'Keefe on the award. "We are thrilled to have been named by Inc. Magazine as one of the nation's top entrepreneurial companies. This award is a tribute to the hard work of the entire team here at ITelagen."

ITelagen's continued growth is partly due to the growth in adoption of electronic heath records (EHR) across the United States. Under the HITECH Act of 2009, health care professionals can qualify for incentive payments when they adopt certified EHR technology. The bundled life-cycle solution from ITelagen that delivers medical billing, EHR, HIPAA secure hosting and unlimited IT support, automates the medical practices billing and assures that physicians qualify for these newly defined incentives.
