iMedX Inc., a leading healthcare software and services company, announced today that it has acquired FORE Transcriptions USA Inc. ("FORE"), along with its Indian operations, FORE Transcriptions Pvt. Ltd.  With this acquisition, iMedX adds FORE's many clinics and solo practitioners in Southwestern Texas to its customer base and significantly enhances its global transcription production capacity in one of India's prime technology hubs.

FORE serves over 100 physician offices from its US headquarters in El Paso, Texas. As a result of this acquisition, iMedX will benefit from an expanded reach in Texas, and from FORE's well-trained, efficient global medical language specialists. FORE's clinic customers will have access to advanced technology through iMedX's Internet-based healthcare information solutions – TurboRecord® electronic medical records, and TurboRx® electronic prescribing.

Venkat Sharma, iMedX's President and CEO, along with the current iMedX management team, will lead the combined companies. FORE's experienced management, production, and operations team will continue to support and grow its loyal customer base.

"Over the past decade, FORE has built a solid reputation in Southwestern Texas as a high quality transcription provider," said Mr. Sharma. "We are pleased to have the FORE family join iMedX. FORE customers will benefit greatly from iMedX's paperless technology and innovative subscription-based healthcare information solutions, and will progress towards compliance with the new 'meaningful use' requirements placed on electronic medical records."
