This paper is aimed at addressing the current state of art in epidemiology, pathophysiology, diagnostic procedures and treatment options for the appropriate management of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) in hypertensive patients, as well as for the management of arterial hypertension in OSA patients. This is done by considering relevant information from specific patient populations derived from a thorough search of the available literature.
