Viking's new 3DHD Vision System recognized with 'Best of What's New 2010' award

Viking Systems, Inc. (OTCBB:VKNG) announced today that its recently released 3DHD Vision System has been named a "Best of What's New 2010" award winner in the Health category by Popular Science magazine. The award recipients were included in the December issue of the magazine.

Jed Kennedy, Viking President & CEO, said, "We are very pleased that our new 3DHD Vision System has been recognized with this prestigious award. We believe that our new product provides a tremendous advancement in surgical visualization technology. Nearly all laparoscopic procedures are currently performed with a 2D camera. We believe our new system provides the surgeon with high quality 3D vision in a cost effective and flexible format. Performing complex minimally invasive procedures with a 3D vision system has the potential not only to improve the quality of care but also to reduce procedure time and therefore cost of procedures."
