CORE Health Centers is now Inspire Health

On January 7th CORE Health Centers, LLC: a distinguished outpatient, multi-disciplinary, weight management treatment center in the Chicago area, officially changed its name to Inspire Health. The change to Inspire Health more accurately reflects its mission of providing effective psychological and physiological treatments for healthy weight loss and management. Sometimes a change in diet or exercise is not enough no matter what you do, or there are other difficulties in the way that require a comprehensive approach.

Inspire Health's staff provide treatment with a broad scope of psychological and physiological services. Unique treatment plans are created for each person and can include: individual therapy, group therapeutic programming, metabolic testing, medical nutrition services and fitness assessments complete with an exercise prescription. When beneficial, Inspire also provides medications prescribed by a Board-Certified M.D. which can suppress appetite, reduce fat absorption or help control behavior, and Optifast meal replacements.

Inspire was created in December of 2009 by internationally recognized psychologists, physiologists and psychiatrists who are also practicing clinicians. Their purpose was to provide the comprehensive treatment solution that was missing in the Chicagoland area. The practice is led by Medical Director, William Ciganek, M.D. and Senior Directors Susan McClanahan, Ph.D. and Jenny Conviser, Psy.D., the founders of Insight Psychological Centers, which is one of the largest regional providers of outpatient treatment for eating disorders. Every director of Inspire is on the faculty of Northwestern University and Drs. Ciganek and Conviser also serve on the staff of Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Collectively, Inspire's leadership has more than 60 years of experience, helping people change their minds and physiology for a healthier tomorrow.

Today, one year after it was created, Inspire is a regional leader in helping teens and adults gain the control over their eating and/or weight, offering convenient day, evening and weekend hours six days a week with centers in Chicago, Evanston and Willowbrook. The Chicago location features newly renovated treatment space with beautiful metropolitan views, and a state-of-the-art kitchen catered by Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises.
