The General Cannabis, Inc. (Pink Sheets: CANA) (General Cannabis.com, Weedmaps.com) subsidiaries are already showing expected success and growth in the year's first quarter.

Weedmaps.com, the nation's largest medical cannabis web 2.0 site and part of Weedmaps Media, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of General Cannabis, Inc., has improved revenue consistently for the 14th straight month ending in January 2011. Continuing the streak looks promising as the WeedMaps development team will soon launch a daily coupon application allowing patients to receive significant savings. Management is very excited about the monetizing opportunities in this structure and anticipates launching this program in April 2011 or sooner.

WeedMaps.com began PatientFreebies.com in January which immediately created additional revenue.  PatientFreebies.com is a daily game where patients can win prizes during certain times of the day. The success of PatientFreebies.com has resulted in the expansion into other similar areas by the development team.

"We are excited about what is being development at WeedMaps. We have a variety of new services in various development stages. We're constantly expanding outward," states Justin Hartfield, Chief Web Officer for General Cannabis, Inc.

General Heath Solutions, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of General Cannabis, Inc. that specializes in turn-key management of medicinal cannabis clinics throughout California, has scheduled expansion of three new medical clinics; increasing the total under management to 14. The new locations are expecting to open in February and are located in Northern California. The company is performing due diligence in anticipation of opening medicinal health care facilities in other states that allow medicinal cannabis.

"Our model allows for aggressive expansion throughout the country while maintaining the most professional standard of care in the industry," said Jim Pakulis, CEO of General Cannabis.

This is up from $700,000 generated in December 2010.

"With the help of WeedMaps, we have continued to expand our dispensary portfolio. We have also engaged in new niches outside of cannabis, which is reflected in January's numbers. We are very confident in our ability to capture market share in the cannabis industry as well our new niche markets," states Robert Podlesni, Vice President of Operations for General Merchant Solutions.
