Modern Healthcare names Encore as one of 2011 top Best Places to Work in Healthcare

Modern Healthcare Magazine today named Houston-based Encore Health Resources, a leading provider of advanced information-technology services for the global healthcare industry, as one of its 2011 top 100 Best Places to Work in Healthcare. The selection marks the second consecutive year that Encore has earned the coveted award. The four-year-old Best Places to Work in Healthcare program recognizes outstanding employers in the healthcare industry on a national level.

“Modern Healthcare would like to congratulate the healthcare organizations for being selected as one of the Best Places to Work in Healthcare for 2011”

"Modern Healthcare would like to congratulate the healthcare organizations for being selected as one of the Best Places to Work in Healthcare for 2011," the magazine wrote on its website, adding, "From economic development to employee retention, this program will benefit individuals, organizations and the healthcare industry."

Last year, Encore earned 7th place among small healthcare companies (99 employees or fewer) and 36th place among all companies rated. In 2011, Encore's rapid market success has expanded its workforce to 200, placing the company for this year's award in the medium-size classification of between 100 and 999 employees.

"I couldn't be more excited that Modern Healthcare has named Encore one of its Best Places to Work in Healthcare 2011 -- our second year to make the list. It's an accomplishment we're especially proud of in what is also our second full year of business," said Dana Sellers, President and CEO, Encore Health Resources. "This award is particularly special because it's based solely on information from our own staff -- the people who have rolled up their sleeves, done amazing work for our clients, and helped make Encore successful from day one. I am tremendously proud of the company and the 200 individuals who truly make Encore a great place to work."

Modern Healthcare will reveal the ranked order of the 100 Best Places to Work in Healthcare at a banquet honoring all recipients on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 and in a special supplement to be published on Monday, October 24, 2011.

In other recognition this year, KLAS Enterprises named Encore one of the top two overall performers in the health IT advisory services segment. The ranking came in a May 2011 report published by KLAS, entitled Advisory Services: Navigating the Maze of Performance and Choice. The report put Encore just 0.2 of a point behind first place.
