A group of 25 hospitals across 7 hospital systems in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania will form what it calls the nation's largest health care alliance to improve care and lower costs.

Twenty-five hospitals in three states have agreed to research and share ideas about what works in a new health care alliance. AllSpire Health Partners announced its plans Wednesday night, saying the idea is designed in reaction to President Barack Obama's health insurance overhaul.
