Anesthesia Touch V4 now compliant with ONC-ACB 2014 Edition criteria

Plexus Information Systems, a leading anesthesia information management system (AIMS) provider, announced today that Anesthesia Touch V4 is compliant with the ONC-ACB 2014 Edition criteria and was certified as a Complete EHR on October 10, 2013 under the Drummond Group's Electronic Health Records Office of the National Coordinator Authorized Certification Body (ONC-ACB) program. The ONC 2014 Edition criteria support both Stage 1 and 2 meaningful use measures required to qualify eligible providers and hospitals for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).

"We are pleased to offer a complete EHR certified product to help our customers qualify for EHR incentives and, at the same time, provide excellent patient care," says Dr. Albert Woo, President of Plexus Information Systems, Inc. "Additionally, some of our customers are already seeing the benefits and receiving incentive payments by demonstrating meaningful use of certified EHR technology."

Drummond Group's ONC-ACB certification program certifies that EHRs meet the meaningful use criteria for either eligible provider or hospital technology. In turn, healthcare providers using the EHR systems of certified vendors are qualified to receive federal stimulus monies upon demonstrating meaningful use of the technology – a key component of the federal government's push to improve clinical care delivery through the adoption and effective use of EHRs by U.S. healthcare providers.

Anesthesia Touch V4 meets the Complete EHR certification criteria as an integrated bundle of EHR modular products. The products which make up the Complete EHR, include Anesthesia Touch V4.

"Leveraging information technology for healthcare initiatives provides the opportunity to deliver a high-level quality of care and efficiency which essentially benefits and enhances the overall patient experience," says Rik Drummond, CEO of the Drummond Group Inc.

Anesthesia Touch V4's certification number is 10102013‐1937‐1. This Complete EHR is 2014 Edition compliant and has been certified by an ONC-ACB in accordance with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. This certification does not represent an endorsement by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services or guarantee the receipt of incentive payments.

The clinical quality measures to which Anesthesia Touch has been certified, includes CMS069v2, CMS122v2, CMS126v2, CMS127v2, CMS134v2, CMS135v2, CMS138v2, CMS139v2, CMS144v2, CMS146v2, CMS147v2, CMS156v2, CMS165v2, and CMS179v2. The additional software Anesthesia Touch relied upon to demonstrate compliance, includes DrFirst Rcopia.
