Ali Tabrizchi, D.O., a clinical interventional cardiologist at the Heart Center at Sinai, has been named one of Baltimore magazine's 2013 Top Doctors. Tabrizchi is the only cardiologist practicing in Harford County to be chosen for this honor.

Those physicians who are recognized are selected by their peers. The magazine surveys 10,000 area doctors, asks them who they would send their own family members to for treatment in different specialties, and then compiles the list. Only about 4 percent of the physicians in the region are included in the final listing.

Tabrizchi has been a fulltime clinical interventional cardiologist at Sinai since 2008, and his primary practice is located in Bel Air, Maryland. He has performed thousands of diagnostic angiograms, coronary interventions, peripheral angiograms and interventions, nuclear stress tests, and echocardiograms, among many procedures.

In addition, he serves as the director of the vascular lab within his practice; has published various studies; and is a member of numerous professional organizations including the American Heart Association, the American Medical Association and the American Osteopathic Association.

For the past two years, Tabrizchi has also been recognized as one of America's Most Compassionate Doctors by his patients, who provide online feedback about their experiences through the website, PatientsChoice.org. Only 5 percent of the 870,000 doctors in the United States receive this distinction.
