RNF offers grant funding opportunities to advance rehabilitation nursing practices

The Rehabilitation Nursing Foundation (RNF) is offering several grant funding opportunities that address the clinical practice, educational or administrative dimensions of rehabilitation nursing. Each year, RNF provides more than $34,500 annually to research and education that advances rehabilitation nursing practices. RNF considers rehabilitation nursing a philosophy of care and therefore, the proposed study need not be confined to the rehabilitation practice setting.

The grant opportunities listed below are available through RNF and jointly with Sigma Theta Tau International and the American Nurses Foundation.

RNF Grants: The Rehabilitation Nursing Foundation offers $30,000 in the form of multiple grants for research projects that address the clinical practice, educational or administrative dimensions of rehabilitation nursing.
o The New Investigator Research Award grants up to $10,000 for nurses who are novice researchers.
o Fellow EBP/QI Grant (in the amount of $2,500) to support experienced EBP/QI investigators.
o New Investigator EBP/QI Award grants up to $1,500 for nurses who are novice EBP/QI investigators.
o Up to two Research Fellow Grants to support experienced researchers will be awarded from the remaining funds.

Joint Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI) and RNF Grant: STTI and RNF co-sponsor a grant of $4,500 that is given to one recipient whose project is related to rehabilitation nursing. The principal investigator must have a master's degree in nursing to qualify.
