    I don't believe that this is a correct statement. There is currently no gene identified for hEDS, however, there are definitely criteria set to diagnose hEDS.

    Please refer to the new guidelines for Ehlers Danlos Syndrome from the 2017 EDS International Consortium published in the American Journal of Medical Genetics Part C: Seminars in Medical Genetics. Many other updated references can be found here: ehlers-danlos.com/.../
