    I have seen that Cholesterol is generally protective from viruses.    

    This virus down regulates ACE2r.    It was thought that people might want to stop ACE inhibitor drugs as they upregulate the ACE2 receptors as well.    It is now believed.  However, it is now believed ACE inhibitors is protective against the virus BECAUSE they upregulate ACE2r.
