GOE-142MM liposome extrusion device

In liposome extrusion processes, flow rate increases with the membrane’s surface area. A pilot-scale liposome extrusion system is the GOE-142MM, which uses large polycarbonate filter membranes, around 142 mm in diameter, which improve extrusion performance and enable a high flow rate.

The Genizer Online Extruder (GOE-142MM) is paired with a microfluidic homogenizer, such as the NanoGenizer or HandGenizer. When the GOE-142MM is used in conjunction with the NanoGenizer homogenizer, researchers can reduce the number of passes needed to achieve a perfect liposome size distribution and desired particle sizes because the NanoGenizer system's diamond interaction chamber helps pre-treat the liposome sample to the nanoscale.
