A process for releasing biological molecules from within a cell is referred to as cell disruption. It is a critical step in the production of many biological products, such as enzymes. One of the most efficient methods for disrupting the cell membrane is high-pressure homogenization.
The PilotGenizer-30K is a pilot-scale, ultra-high-pressure homogenizer and cell disruptor developed by Genizer LLC. It is electrically driven and provides formulation development specialists with greater flexibility and capability for cell disruption, emulsification, and particle size reduction in a fast and efficient manner.

The PilotGenizer dual pump system is designed with a digital control architecture and is easy to operate, featuring an auxiliary diamond chamber that facilitates premixing of the sample and supports the nanosizing process, along with a primary diamond interaction chamber that performs cell disruption and particle size reduction. In the sample cooling unit, a 316 L stainless steel heat exchanger is used to assist in cooling the samples.
Furthermore, the Genizer PLC touchscreen offers operators multiple advanced functions, including auto-stop settings (cycle count, set time, and pressure) and accurate sampling. Materials such as 316 L stainless steel, 17-4 ph stainless steel, titanium alloy, tungsten carbide, PTFE, UHMWPE, or other corrosion-resistant materials are employed for all components that come into contact with the medium.
