The Genizer Jacketed Liposome Extruder employs a nitrogen gas cylinder to drive a drug, protein, or gene liposome solution through a track-etched membrane with a preset pore size. Five to 10 passes are generally sufficient to produce a sample with uniform liposome size.
The Genizer Jacketed Liposome Extruders are designed to create consistent unilamellar liposomes and Lipopolyplexes with a low dead volume.

The process is simple and easy to operate. Users can place the large pore support disc first in the filter support base, followed by the laser disc (smooth side up), one drain disc, and the liposome membrane (shiny side up).
The standard is a high-pressure nitrogen tube. To finish the GJE-100mL, this must then be added to the gas cylinder's regulator.
The user only needs to feed the sample into the thermal barrel and turn on the regulator to create the pressure. The material must pass through the track-etched nanopore membrane to get nano-scale particle sizes.
