CDA launches Acne And Rosacea Awareness Campaigns

The temperature drop outside is leaving many Canadians red in the face but dermatologists say the culprit could be acne or rosacea. The Canadian Dermatology Association (CDA) is launching Acne and Rosacea Awareness Campaigns to give sufferers the advice they need to cope with these diseases.

Positive results from NanoBio's recombinant H5N1 flu antigen-nanoemulsion vaccine combination study

NanoBio Corporation today announced positive results from studies in mice in which immune responses were evaluated following administration of 5µg doses of recombinant H5N1 pandemic flu antigen combined with the company’s novel nanoemulsion vaccine. These studies are unique because the adjuvant was administered for the first time by subcutaneous (SC) and intramuscular (IM) injections.

U.S. Patent Office approves multiple patent claims from Helix BioMedix

Helix BioMedix, Inc. (OTCBB: HXBM), a developer of bioactive peptides, today announced the United States Patent and Trademark Office has allowed multiple claims in one of the company’s recent patent applications. US patent application 12/005653, “Short Bioactive Peptides for Cellular and Immunological Modulation,” covers a number of peptides including Heptapeptide-7, a SmartPeptides™ technology and lead component in the Striking™ Skin Care line. The patent is expected to issue shortly.

FDA accepts Sol-Gel’s Investigational New Drug Application for DER45-EV Gel
