China PharmaHub signs distribution agreement for radioactive glass sphere treatment for liver cancer

China PharmaHub Corp. ("PharmaHub"), which has recently merged with World Wide Relics which has changed its name to China PharmaHub Corp, and is in the process of obtaining approval from FINRA to trade under its new name with a new symbol, announced today that it has signed an Exclusive Distribution Agreement ("Agreement") with a world leader in precision glass technology which can be utilized to manufacture high precision radioactive glass spheres that emit alpha, beta or gamma radiation, either individually or in combination, for the treatment of malignant tumors of the liver.

Sanctions on Shalom Toowoomba nursing home due to inadequate aged care

A nursing home in Toowoomba in southern Queensland has been sanctioned for a serious breaches in its healthcare and safety measures. The Shalom Toowoomba Nursing Home has been warned by the federal Department of Ageing that its care of patients is so poor it will not receive Commonwealth subsidies for six months. The Department would be making daily inspections to make sure the breaches are being fixed.

Patterson first-quarter net income increases 20% to $53.93 million

Patterson Companies, Inc. today reported consolidated sales of $849,787,000 for the first quarter of fiscal 2011 ended July 31, an increase of 8% from $789,579,000 in the year-earlier quarter. Sales for the current quarter included the impact of an extra or fourteenth week, which will make fiscal 2011 a 53-week year ending on April 30, 2011. Net income of $53,925,000 or $0.45 per diluted share rose 20% from $45,057,000 or $0.38 per diluted share in the first quarter of fiscal 2010.

Starting in September, President Obama's Affordable Care Act will go into effect. The act mandates free preventative services such as cholesterol or breast cancer screenings and tetanus shots. But the question is, will doctors and patients take advantage of these new preventative services? N.C. Dept. of Corrections could cut inmate health care costs by requiring hospitals to bill Medicaid; Minn. lawmakers urge governor to seek enhanced Medicaid funds

WRAL: "The [N.C.] state Department of Correction could cut the health costs for inmates by $11.5 million a year by requiring hospitals and other medical service providers to bill Medicaid for eligible expenses, according to a state audit released Tuesday. The amount of potential savings would increase in 2014, when health care reform expands Medicaid eligibility, auditors said.
