Eleventh suspected bird flu death in Indonesia

According to health ministry officials in Indonesia an eight year old boy has died of bird flu in the country's capital, Jakarta.

The World Health Organisation has yet to confirm the cause of death which, if confirmed, along with that of a 36 year old man two days ago in a Jakarta hospital,would bring the country's death toll to 11.

Tests on both victims will be carried out at a WHO laboratory in Hong Kong.

According to Indonesian health official Hariadi Wibisono both had been tested locally as positive for bird flu.
