Medical Services International receives increased interest in Dengue fever and Malaria test kits

Medical Services International Inc. has announced that the interest by regulatory authorities and the company's distributors has increased substantially for its VScan Dengue Fever and Malaria test kits.

The primary locations for outbreaks in Malaria are the Middle East and Africa. The primary locations for the outbreaks of Dengue Fever are South America, Latin America and the Caribbean. It is also reported that outbreaks of Dengue Fever will move into the southern United States.

In Brazil already this year in excess of 53,000 Dengue Fever cases have already been reported. Mexico showed an increase from 17,487 in 2005 to 22810 in 2006, this number is expected to increase substantially in 2007. Paraguay health officials have reported over 14,000 cases of Dengue Fever in the first two months of 2007 with multiple deaths. It is reported that more than 130,000 more cases have been unreported because many poor Paraguayans cannot afford doctors fees. Paraguay has declared a state of emergency. Dengue Fever is transmitted by the aedes aegypti mosquito. There are very few laboratories in South America or Latin America that can test for Dengue Fever. The laboratories that are available take from 4 to 6 weeks to get results. Alternatively health departments are sending blood samples to the United States for testing which takes even longer. The only way to control the outbreak of Dengue Fever is rapid diagnosis. The VScan Dengue Fever test kit gives results in 20 minutes with an accuracy of 99%. Based on the current interest in the VScan Dengue Fever test kit the Company feels that we can be instrumental in helping to deal with this problem. Further, during the summer when Dengue Fever moves into the southern United States the company will be in a position to supply VScan Dengue Fever kits into the United States.

Based on inquiries the Company feels that the immediate demand for the VScan Dengue Fever test kit will be greater than 500,000 kits, with a potential of increasing to 800,000 kits this year alone.

The Vscan rapid test kit is a single use, disposable, accurate, cost effective, easy to use, test for the screening of HIV 1&2, Hepatitis B&C, Tuberculosis (TB), Dengue Fever, Malaria, West Nile, Syphilis and Prostate Cancer. The kits cannot be sold in Canada.
