Duane Reade, the largest drug store chain in New York City, today announced that H1N1 vaccines are now available. As previously announced, Duane Reade pharmacies are providing New Yorkers with the H1N1 vaccine as part of the Company's commitment to servicing the health and wellness needs of the City's residents.

Starting today, H1N1 flu shot clinics are set up at five Duane Reade locations in high traffic areas in Manhattan where the H1N1 vaccine will be offered at designated times on a first-come, first-serve basis. Additional Duane Reade locations throughout the five boroughs will offer the vaccine upon request when a certified immunizing pharmacist is available.

For the most up-to-date information and exact store locations where New Yorkers can receive the H1N1 vaccination, please visit Duane Reade's website at www.duanereade.com/FluShots.aspx or call the customer service hotline at 1-866-DR-LOYAL (1-866-375-6925). "As the largest drug store chain in New York City, we are proud to partner with the City's health officials to fulfill this important public service of providing the H1N1 vaccine," said Frank Scorpiniti, Senior Vice President, Pharmacy Operations. "A great deal of thought and months of planning and organization have gone into launching this program. We are proud of our pharmacists and the way our organization has come together. We look forward to playing a pivotal role in helping New Yorkers remain healthy during this year's flu season and beyond."

In an effort to promote a healthy store and working environment, Duane Reade is offering the H1N1 vaccines to its own employees.
